Reponsibilities:
  • Conduct R&D in long-term, med-term and short-term mine planning and production scheduling.
  • Develop an integrated mine planning product (MineSight® Schedule Optimizer – MSSO) from the scratch. This product was nominated for the 2010 Mining Magazine Awards.
  • Assist technical support and consulting departments in resolving mine planning related problems.
  • Manage Engineering Products Department and is responsible for management, scoping, specs, proof-of-concept, framework design, implementation, support, and training of mine design and planning tools.
  • Attend professional meetings (SME, APCOM, MPES, etc.), publish technical papers, work with universities in conducting mine planning R&D.
